The idea to build the Hotel Vila Lumbung originated from the need to find the right place for close friends, who make the long journey from the west, and who wish to find the best accommodation with an exotic flair. 
 

 Hotel Vila Lumbung is located 5km north-west of Legian/Kuta, perfectly situated to enjoy your holiday in quietness and tranquility, but only an inexpensive taxi-ride away from the shopping and entertainment places of this pulsing tourist center. A quiet beach is about 800 metres away

 The Hotel Vila Lumbung  is a small exotic village surrounded by masterly designed tropical gardens of approximately 20,000 square-meters. The special shape of the grass-roof villas is derived from the typical Balinese "Lumbung". The upper part of this centerhut of each family compound serves as a rice barn, while the lower floor - an elevated sitting area ("Balé") - is used as a meeting place. 
 


 
 

This concept  has been transformedinto a unique design . While the dome-shaped grass roof-top of the upper floors conveys a spacious and tropical feeling, the ground floor's Balé is made into a cozy retreat next to the garden. .
 


 

 

There are also other  "Lumbung"  in the complex with one  de luxe room with king size bed at the ground floor and  one  at the first floor , both  with en-suite bathroom and  private entrance .

This  building can be rented  as  a two bedroom villa, suitable for a family or two couples
 

The lobby, restaurant and shopping area are designed to follow the "Lumbung"-concept; a large-scale 2-level swimming pool with a waterfall, cave, island and bridges, bubble pool and connecting lotus ponds fulfils everyone's fantasies.
